Zarija Alajbeg Galuf completed her elementary and high school musical education in Split. She received a piano masters’ degree at the Zagreb Music Academy where in addition she attends studying chamber music and accompaniment. Interest in chamber music led to “Scuole superiore del Trio di Trieste” where she receives a “United World College of Adriatic” scholarship.
During the course of her study she participated in various seminars and master classes by top pedagogues at home and abroad (R.Kehrer, E.Timakin, K.Taylor, D.Kraus, G. Veermayer, D. Grigorjan, M. Ambokaze). Zarija Galuf Alajbegs’ koncert performance includes solo and chamber music recitals in Croatia and abroad. As a duo with cellist F. M. Ormerzowsky she performed at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. With Trio Osor she played concerts at the Osor Musical Evenings, performed at the Bol, Hvar and Trogir Musical Summers, Lubenik Evening Music…
Koncert oppurtunity lined itself up in countries like Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany and Netherlands. Active many years as a piano assistant at the Zagreb Musical Academy she played with celloist A. Petrač, participates in cello seminars by M. Hayashy and K. Botvaya in Grožnjan and by Trio Orlando in Sorento. She was the official accompanist for the 1st. Cello competition “A. Janigro”.
She recorded a compact disc “Start of the century French Music for the flute and piano” she with flutist Ana Domančić. In addition for many years she actively participated with flutist Renata Penezić. As a member of many chamber music ensembles multiple times she has recorded for Croatian Radio-Television. Since 1991 Zarija Alajbeg Galuf has also been active as a music professor.
